I wanted you all to see the Pride of the Union award that we received! As I mentioned in our national convention report on this Web site, we were eligible to receive this award because our membership level is 100% (the criteria is 90% or higher). A reception was held at the national convention in Seattle for all Locals who qualified to receive this award. Unfortunately, we couldn’t stay long enough to receive ours because we needed to get to the orientation that was being held for all new delegates (so we knew what was going on—it was a lot to take in with 3200+ other union members from across the nation).
This site has come a long way since it first went live two years ago. You can now find our constitution, contracts, grievance form, find out who your union leaders are, meet new members, and much much more. Be sure to click on the Recent News link and the rest of this page often.
